Fringe season dressing. When it’s not quite cold enough for coats, but a little bit too cool to go without an extra layer.

My @paper_theory #olyashirt Shacket hack gets a right thrashing in the fringe seasons. This is its third year in rotation. Still no buttonholes or buttons lol 😆 - and let’s be totally realistic here, after three years in rotation the likely hood of me adding buttonholes/buttons is absolutely zero 🤪. Luckily it’s easy to wear without being done up so all good.

This past week alone it’s been worn three times to the Studio. And with no new makes #so50reworn. All these outfits are well worn and well loved. It’s so good to be able to make quality clothes that last for years. The 2nd photo from ages ago shows the back. I do love a good contrast topstitch 🤩.

And my sneaker game is on point this week too, just saying 🤩.

I’ve taken up a new sport/hobby that’s been taking so much of my time. It’s bloody brilliant 🤩. It has taken me away from IG a bit. But I’ve still managed to keep sewing (and new sport needs specific clothes 😅). More on the sport another day, because I’m actually here to post about a recent make.

When @greenstyle_patterns first released the Ultra Crop #gsultracrop, it wasn’t a release that caught my interest. But as the weather started to cool, and I wasn’t quite ready to give up my summer walking/running gear (read: totally unprepared for the change of season 😐), I thought that a layer for just my arms might work.

And it does 😃. It’s been a very useful addition. It keeps my arms warm, but I don’t over heat like I would if I had an extra layer/full length sleeve top on. I honestly never thought I’d be a crop top fan - but this definitely gets a double thumbs up 👍👍. Worn here with #gsleewardtee & #selfdrafted shorts (more details a couple of posts ago).

I made it so that it incorporated the colours of my different outfits so I still feel colour coordinated regardless of what outfit I be wearing. And yes it’s a thing for me - being colour coordinated, I feel completely out of sorts if I’m not. Totally screws with my equilibrium 🙃

The fabric is from Helen @nelliejoans - it’s the fabulous supplex she stocks. Seriously love this fabric. It’s so good 😍.

The pattern has a few variations, and a few different colour blocking options - such a good way to use up precious scraps. The hooded version I made would be my fav.

When out for a walk last week, someone told me I looked ‘super sporty’ 🤭. Looking the part is half the battle me thinks lol.

And flick across to the last photo- I’m so grateful Hubs is willing to take photos for me, grateful but often suspicious 🤪.

Isn’t this Autumnal weather fabulous. My fav season.
