Light weave with ‘slub’ structure where some threads are thicker than other, which adds a nice texture to the surface.
The soft Tencel and the more crisp linen goes very well together and gives a soft drape that is ‘held up’ a bit. It has a matte surface with a lightly washed look.It is suitable for both blouses, shirts, dresses, skirts and loose trousers.

Tencel Linen Slub is part of our sustainable collection ‘meet MILK’, which we have build from a selection of specially chosen fabrics in sustainable, eco-friendly, and not least, beautiful, stylish and comfortable qualities.

Tencel is made of wood pulp from sustainably certified beech and eucalyptus trees, which is made into fibers, that can be spun.
The composition of natural fibres from the wood, makes Tencel utterly comfortable to wear. It is soft and breathable, and it has a really good ability to absorb moisture and let it go again.

The fibres are naturally anti-bacterial, which means less need for washing. Tencel binds color really well, and doesn’t get washed out like eg. cotton and viscose. The natural fibres are anti-static and doesn’t cling to the body.

The Tencel used in our meet MILK collection is certified by Lenzing which means that the sustainable quality is guaranteed.

What I think:

Fabulous!! I LOVE tencel, and it’s no secret I love linen too. So what better than a tencel/linen blend. Opaque with a lovely mid weight hand, with lovely drape.

It would great for so many garments – think skirts, trou, tops, blouses, and outerwear like anoraks or trench coats.

It washes up beautifully, I even threw it in the dryer to see how it would come out, and had no issues.

It wears well too, creases but no where near as much as linen normally does. And with the added benefit of tencel – the creases virtually disappear when hanging in the wardrobe (if you don’t hang your clothes up, the creases will still be there lol). I made a self drafted jumpsuit and this fabric was sublime to work with. Easy to cut and sew.

This Navy colour is such a fab shade of navy, it’s a bit lighter than a dark navy  – it’s reminds me of navy that’s been washed a couple of times.
