Does Zero Waste Sewing (or low waste sewing) intrigue you, but you’re unsure how it all works? Are you a little bit apprehensive to tackle that first Zero Waste project on your own? Then this one day Zero Waste Workshop is just the ticket to show you how.

One of my most favourite  #zerowastesewing  patterns has been designed by the amazing Liz Haywood (Check out Liz’s Website The Craft of Clothes), it’s the #XantheaTop (click here to check out the hashtag on IG). Just one meter of fabric* is all it takes, but be prepared to be obsessed with this pattern. I’ve made 4 so far – and they are all completely different. Please note, that some fabric widths make this pattern Low Waste vs No Waste.

The clever construction has this top worn on the bias. And we all know how fabulous bias cut garments are to wear. The drape of the bias offers a great fit which is comfortable to wear and looks fabulous.

The fabric choices are endless. Woven or knit. Make a woven top, t-shirt or sweatshirt depending on your fabric choice. Mix it up with a woven top and a knit neckband (I do love a knit neckband). Long sleeves or short. You’re the designer, you get to choose.

Whether you’re a Fearless Beginner or a Seasoned Sewster, this Workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills to embrace the Zero Waste Sewing Movement.

Come along and unlock your Zero Waste Sewing potential!

*fabric width needs to be at least 140cm wide of 1 meter. If it’s narrower, you just need more than 1m in length
